What to Expect
You will be lying on a soft mat on the floor, fully clothed in loose, comfortable clothing and no oils are used in the massage.

Because of its foundation in Yoga and because it was mainly performed in temples in Thailand, Thai Massage's most essential component is the meditative or aware mind. I apply direct, conscious pressure to the body in a way that I can feel where you hold the most tension, where the energy flow is blocked and where the body is hot, cold or has a weak or strong pulse. I then use pressure, the manipulation of soft tissue and yoga-like stretches to release the tight muscles, returning blood flow and heat back to the area. And because of it's ingenious focus on ergonomics, I am able to easily deepen or lighten the pressure using my own body weight.

The Thai Massage Flow
Like yoga, thai massage also has a flow. The sequence and how the pressure and stretch are applied depends on what the body needs. The movement is a rhythmic, rocking motion whichIn fact, in some moves, I will use my bodyweight to counterbalance your body with my own in order to easily lift you or move you into a stretch.

Thai Massage History
Having its origins in India and the ancient art of yoga, thai massage is also rooted in yoga philosophy. In the science of yoga, 72,000 energy lines course through the body like a massive web. Thai Massage narrows it down to 10 and their various branches. A practitioner works to locate and free up energy blocks, to rebalance the body's energetic flow (prana, chi or life force), and to release physical and mental tension. Obstructions to the free flow of prana may lead to mental , physical and spiritual imbalances, which may manifest as disease, physical discomfort or emotional problems.
